On the evening of January 18, 2025, the sky of Hanoi capital lit up with one of the largest technological art performances ever. Loon Eyes is honored to be the unit that successfully implemented the light show of 2,025 drones performing light in the event “Light Concert – Welcome New Year 2025”, opening the Hanoi International Light Festival 2025.
The program made a strong impression on the audience when it synchronously combined drone light shows and live symphony, creating multi-layered artistic moments, both honoring heritage values and reflecting the appearance of Hanoi in the transitional period.
2500 Drones light up the Southern sky, telling stories with light and sound
Over the course of more than 10 minutes, each drone formation moved in perfect synchronization to the rhythm of a symphonic soundtrack—unfolding a visual journey that celebrated the cultural identity of Thăng Long – Hanoi.
From a conceptual theme proposed by the event organizer, the Loon Eyes team developed and transformed the idea into a fully choreographed aerial light script, with every formation meticulously calculated for position, motion timing, and lighting effects.
Iconic imagery such as the Rising Dragon of the Capital, Hanoi’s Old Quarter, Nhật Tân Bridge, the urban railway system, the “Hanoi – City for Peace” symbol, and a vibrant “Welcome 2025” message were sequentially rendered in the sky by a fleet of 2,025 drones. These visuals were enhanced with multi-layered dynamic lighting effects and synchronized stage lasers—all precisely aligned to the resonant orchestral music below.
Every moment in the sky reflects a seamless fusion of split-second programming precision and creative content design—delivering a drone light art experience that is both symbolically rich and emotionally resonant.

Loon Eyes Studio – Elevating the art of light performance
Guided by the motto “Precision in Every Second – Beauty in Every Moment,” every drone movement and lighting effect was precisely programmed and perfectly synchronized in real time with the live orchestra below—a highly complex challenge that demanded both technical excellence and artistic finesse.
Deploying a large-scale drone fleet within a densely populated urban area added another layer of complexity. Each formation had to be carefully calculated for altitude, spatial positioning, and flight trajectory to ensure absolute safety for the audience and surrounding infrastructure.
Loon Eyes worked in close coordination with local authorities, conducting thorough site surveys, equipment testing, and zone-based drone control planning to minimize signal interference in the high-density downtown area.
A key highlight of the project was the real-time synchronization between the drone performance and a live symphony orchestra—a technically demanding feat requiring every light effect, shape transition, and flight movement to be flawlessly aligned with the conductor’s cues and musical tempo.
This event marked a new milestone in integrating drone light shows into outdoor performing arts in Vietnam, while showcasing the vast potential of this technology for large-scale cultural and entertainment events in the future.
Loon Eyes is honored to have contributed to this production and is ready to collaborate with partners and organizations on future-forward artistic technology projects of international caliber.
